Temporary arrangements and variable sequences
Temporary arrangements and variable sequences explores memory as a fragmented and unstable narrative, drawing from Joan Didion’s The White Album, where recollection is continually distorted, reworked, and reinterpreted. Revolving the time period Didion writes about, the 1960s, my collection draws from the textiles of my family home, which remained visually unchanged from the 1960s to the 2020s, to evoke the feeling of this space, while acknowledging my memories of the home are unreliable and constantly shifting.
